Doğduğu topraklara dönen Ahmet Manisa için en büyük zenginlik, geride bırakılan hayırdır. For Ahmet Manisa, who returned to the land where he was born, the greatest wealth is the good one leaves behind. As he puts it: ‘Property stays here; what matters is leaving a benefit to people.’ Built in this spirit, the mosque is not only a place of worship but a symbol of his loyalty to Derekoy, his faith, and his devotion to service.

Ahmet Manisa, 1953 yılında Dereköy'de doğdu. Hayatı bir aşçı olarak başladı ve bu yol onu Hollanda'ya götürdü. Yıllar içinde birden fazla restoran ve işletme kurdu, yönetti. Ahmet Manisa was born in 1953 in Derekoy. His professional life began as a chef, which eventually took him to the Netherlands. Over the years he founded and managed several restaurants and businesses.

Hayatının büyük bölümünü yurt dışında geçirdikten sonra, doğduğu topraklara döndü. Bugün Dereköy'de yaşıyor; vaktini zeytinliklerine ve kiraz bahçelerine ayırıyor, doğal zeytinyağı üretiyor. After much of his life spent abroad, he returned to the land he came from. Today he lives in Derekoy, caring for his olive groves and cherry orchards, producing natural olive oil.

Guided by his faith and a wish to serve others, he built this mosque. Today the door is open to anyone who comes to pray, reflect, or simply find a moment of quiet.

Namaza ya da duaya gelmek isteyen herkes mescide girebilir. Ahmet Bey müsaitse selamlaşabilir, avluda biraz oturabilirsiniz. Mescide gelmeden arazi içinde gezilmesini rica etmiyoruz. Anyone wishing to pray or reflect may enter the mosque. If Ahmet Bey is available, he will greet you, and you are welcome to sit in the courtyard for a while. We ask that visitors come to the mosque first rather than walking the land.
